The Hong Kong City-State Autonomy Movement (also known as the Hong Kong
Autonomy Movement or HKAM) is an internet-organized political movement which has
been very vocal on street protests in Hong Kong since July 2012. While not
necessarily advocating complete separation from the People's Republic of China,
HKAM has adopted as its emblem the "Dragon and Lion Hong Kong Flag", which is
navy blue with the 1959-1997 Colonial Hong Kong coat-of-arms, modified only with
the word "Hong Kong" in red Chinese writing at the centre of the shield. They do
not even bother to remove the crowns from the lions' heads!

This use of this flag, along with the 1959-1997
Colonial Hong Kong
flag on street
protests in recent years, has caused considerable consternation in the
PRC government, and no doubt much bemusement to outside observers.
Suffice to say that these reflect the complex love-hate relationships
Hong Kongers have with their colonial past.

It can also be noted that
several protesters wore dark blue T-shirts charged with the white inscription
HKAM and the coat of arms inserted between letters K and A.

Recently I got the image of white flag charged with a blue ball in the center
used during Hong Kong Autonomous Movement as well as a former blue colonial flag
without union flag.
They say the blue represents Hong Kong and a ball does Hong Kong symbol pearl.
